About me

I'm not just a stylist — styling has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Before I knew the word for it, I was already doing it: as a kid, dressing everyone in my family, telling them what shoes to wear with what, what colors worked, what didn't. I didn't think of it as a skill back then. It was just how I saw the people I loved — I wanted them to feel as good as they looked.

For 30+ years, that instinct never left me. Friends came to me before big dates. Family called me before weddings, before interviews, before moments that mattered. I'd hear it constantly — you should be doing this professionally — and for a long time, I brushed it off as a nice thing people said about a hobby.

The moment it actually clicked was at my cousin's wedding last year. I helped the whole family figure out what to wear — where to buy it, what would work for each of them, how to make sure everyone felt like the best version of themselves. And watching them light up, genuinely happy, genuinely themselves in what they wore — something shifted in me. This wasn't a favor anymore. It wasn't luck, or a "good eye," or something I happened to be able to do for people I loved. It was a skill. A real one. And I realized I'd been sitting on it my entire life, waiting for permission to take it seriously.

So I gave myself that permission. That decision became Libas by K Kaur.

With an MBA in Marketing and an MSc in International Business earned in Canada, and a 6-month certification through Style Babe Academy, I paired the strategy to build a real business with the instinct I'd already spent a lifetime developing. But underneath all of that — the degrees, the certification, the business name — this has always been personal. I know exactly what it feels like to watch someone see themselves differently just because their style finally caught up to who they are. I've been doing that for the people I love my entire life. Now, I get to do it for you.
